Every NBA team’s most prolific dunker from the 2021-22 season

2. Charlotte Hornets (531 total dunks) — Miles Bridges: 118 dunks
Miles Bridges led the Hornets in total dunks this season for the third time in his four-year career, and Mason Plumlee also cracked into the top-20 with 108 dunks. The Hornets were one of two teams in the league this season to have seven players with 30 or more dunks. Bridges and Plumlee were joined by: Kelly Oubre (53), P.J. Washington (51), Montrezl Harrell (49), Cody Martin (34) and Nick Richards (30).
Charlotte was not always a dunking powerhouse. In fact, before Charlotte’s top-5 finish in 2020-21, the Hornets averaged a measly 23rd place finish among teams in total dunks in the 10 seasons prior. But so long as Miles Bridges and his running mate, LaMelo Ball, remain in Buzz City, the dunks should continue to flow. Especially when the rookies Kai Jones, James Bouknight and JT Thor get more playing time. (Perhaps that’s the real reason why James Borrego was let go.)
