Huascar Ynoa

The team’s tenth-ranked prospect is back with the Triple-A squad in Gwinnett but keeps getting opportunities to help with the Atlanta squad.

He is currently 0-2 in two games and 6.2 innings and has an ERA of 13.50. He’s given up 11 hits, 10 runs and two home runs. He gave up six walks and one wild pitch while striking out eight.

Ynoa relies on a four-seam fastball, slider, a sinker and a changeup. Ynoa’s four-seamer averages 96.6 mph with 13.2-inches of vertical drop and an active spin of 99 percent.

Ynoa has gotten opportunities to help Atlanta several times over the past two seasons. That will continue this season but he could end up being a trade chip as one of the organizations top prospects. Teams will have an eye on this crafty pitcher.
