Scouting Report. Indianapolis Colts. 2. Pick Analysis. AFC. South. player. 46

Odell Beckham Jr. would absolutely thrive catching balls from Matt Ryan in Indy

Even if the Indianapolis Colts used their first pick of the 2022 NFL Draft on Alec Pierce out of Cincinnati, so what? Chris Ballard didn’t trade for Matt Ryan for him to throw passes at a second-round rookie out of a Group of Five school and expect to win a Super Bowl. The Colts have not won the AFC South since 2014, and they probably need to do that or Jim Irsay is going get mad again.

Enter Odell Beckham Jr. While the Matty Ice erasure by the national media when he was with the Atlanta Falcons was absolutely stupid, people tend to forget that he makes every receiving target he plays with better. Who has gone on to have better success after abandoning the former MVP? I’ll wait … okay, but for real. Beckham would be so fantastic as part of the Colts’ receiving corps.

They have to go for broke and try to win the division this year. While the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans are utterly toothless, it may not be that way forever. As for the Tennessee Titans, they are so not going to be the No. 1 seed in the AFC next year. In the meantime, the Colts must take advantage of playing in the worst division in the AFC and get Ice a freaking superstar.

The only way passing on Beckham is acceptable is if Ryan reunites with Julio Jones in Indianapolis.
