With the NFL Draft finally over, look for marquee players like Tyrann Mathieu to sign soon.

Tyrann Mathieu is one of the biggest free agents still out there after the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Honey Badger has spent the last three seasons playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was part of their Super Bowl championship during his first year with the team. However, it seems as though his days in Kansas City are over with and done. Could he return? Technically, yes, but let’s not count on that. The good news if Mathieu still has plenty of high-quality football left in the tank.

Here are three teams that could make a ton of sense to sign Mathieu in his NFL free agency.

Let’s speak that Draft Day Jalen Ramsey Twitter mention into existence, people!

It may only be a pipe dream, but why would we not want to speak the Jalen Ramsey Twitter mention into existence? The talented cornerback was doing his part to recruit Mathieu to the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams during the latter part of the 2022 NFL Draft. In a city full of stars, what is going to stop the Rams’ front office from pursuing yet another one?

Mathieu joining Ramsey in the Los Angeles secondary would not even be fair. Not only that, but they would play on the same defense with the absolute best player in football in Aaron Donald. No team has repeated as Super Bowl champions since the 2003-04 New England Patriots, but the Rams have as good of a chance as anyone to do the improbable. Adding Mathieu would really help.

Ultimately, Mathieu is not going to come cheap wherever he ends up. The Rams do a better job of accumulating star players than anyone, but eventually the rent will be due. It might be the first of the month, but the Rams are at a crossroads here. Do they pony up the extra cash to bring an incredibly instinctive defensive back superstar into the fold or do they retain Odell Beckham Jr.?

Los Angeles would be a terrific landing spot for Mathieu, but other teams might want him more.
