2023 NFL Mock Draft: Texans reboot at QB in ‘way-too-early’ 2023 Mock
By Brad Weiss
The Arizona Cardinals have had a roller coaster of an offseason, to say the least, and the hits kept coming on Monday. On Monday, the NFL announced that they have suspended DeAndre Hopkins for using performance-enhancing drugs, something the player plans to clear his name from.
Looking ahead to the 2023 NFL Draft, cornerback could be the play for the Cardinals, as it is a position I felt they should address this year. Kelee Ringo from Georgia is an absolute playmaking ballhawk, and the Cardinals could use another young player in the position group.
The Indianapolis Colts will look a lot different this upcoming season, as Carson Wentz is one-and-done with the franchise. You have to think the loss to Jacksonville in Week 18 was the clincher for Wentz, who never has regained his MVP form since hurting his knee.
In 2023, the Colts could go several different ways with this pick, but why pass on a talent like Noah Sewell? Yes, that is the brother of Detroit Lions star Penei Sewell, and while he plays defense, he could have the same kind of impact as a rookie.
The Baltimore Ravens added a star Notre Dame football player at pick No. 14 this year, bringing in safety Kyle Hamilton. Going into the draft, Hamilton was widely regarded as one of the best defensive players in the class, and falling to No. 14 could prove to be a steal for the Ravens.
In 2023, maybe the Ravens go back to South Bend with their pick, adding Notre Dame star edge rusher Isaiah Foskey. This is a guy who could set the program sack record this year, and when you look at the history of Notre Dame, that speaks for itself.
The Cincinnati Bengals have done exactly what they needed to do this offseason, and that is use assets to protect Joe Burrow. The young quarterback was hit way too often last season, and now, behind a strong offensive line, maybe the Bengals take the next step and win the Super Bowl.
While that could be just a dream, Bengals fans have a lot to love about their roster, but there are still areas for improvement. Garrett Williams from Syracuse has first-round potential and could get there with a strong 2022 college football season.
