QB. Alabama Crimson Tide. Bryce Young. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 2. player. 829

Bryce Young has to be the early favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick in 2023

With a Heisman Trophy already on the mantle, Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young is not only trying to go Archie Griffin on everyone this fall, but channel his inner Joe Burrow and win it all. Alabama is the favorite to win the College Football Playoff, as the Crimson Tide return the two best players the sport has to offer in Young under center and Will Anderson coming off the edge.

Should the Vikings struggle and be within striking distance of the No. 1 pick, they have every reason to consider moving up for Young. However, he is not a big guy at 6-feet and 194 pounds. Though the Vikings, and the Detroit Lions, play indoors, do they think the next Kyler Murray will win big vs. the rival Packers? That is why moving up all the way to No. 1 for him is up for debate.

Could the Vikings be getting their best quarterback since Fran Tarkenton in Young? Yes, but some other quarterback-desperate team might be willing to give up more. Then again, he completed 66.9 percent of his passes for 4,872 yards, 47 touchdowns and just seven picks in his first year as the starter. Is Young a product of the system or the best player possible to run the Tide’s offense?

Young would look great in Vikings purple, but there is one draft prospect better suited for them…
