4. Draft an impact wing

The Bulls currently own the No. 18 overall pick in Round 1 of this season’s NBA Draft. The team should be spending all of its energy trying to identify the right wing to select with that selection.

Jeremy Sochan (pictured above) might be the dream option for Chicago. He could walk right into their starting lineup and give them energy and pop from the small forward position. The problem for Chicago is that they’d likely need to move up in Round 1 to secure the former Baylor standout.

A more likely player to be available at No. 18 would be Ohio State’s E.J. Liddell. He’s on the older side for a first-round pick but he’s also ready to play right away. Chicago seems like a team that’s very likely to pass on upside in exchange for someone who can make an immediate impact.

The right move might be for the Bulls to go for a player with a higher ceiling like Blake Wesley or Jaden Hardy. No matter what, Chicago has to come out of Round 1 with a wing they believe is capable of playing meaningful minutes next season. Spending the pick on any other position would be a grave mistake.
