Tiger Woods has a shot at history should he win the PGA Championship one more time.

With the 2022 PGA Championship happening at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, people will want to know if Tiger Woods has any shot at winning another major golf event.

At this point in his career, it would be nothing short of miraculous for Woods to win another major. Though he was able to win the 2019 Masters Tournament three springs ago, this was before he suffered a near-fatal car accident near Rancho Palos Verdes in Southern California. Then again, he has had substantial success at the PGA Championship in his illustrious professional golfing career.

Doing so would not only bring him one major closer to Jack Nicklaus all time, but would tie him and Walter Hagen for most PGA Championship wins in the history of the event. So much has changed since Woods last won at Southern Hills. That may have been 15 years ago, but that was only two major victories ago for Woods. No doubt about it, he was going to match and surpass Nicklaus for the most all time in the latter part of his prime. Unfortunately, a decade from hell nearly knocked Woods out of the sport he loves entirely. He still has a shot this weekend.

A 16th major tournament win would bring Woods within two all time of The Golden Bear’s mark.
