Tennesee’s quarterback Hendon Hooker is the most overlooked 2023 NFL Draft prospect out there, but he could be on everyone’s radar by the end of the 2022 season.

Another transfer portal success story, Hooker would probably be the best fit among the three quarterbacks on this list for the Seattle Seahawks.

He transferred to Tennessee from Virginia Tech and immediately helped make an offensive difference in Knoxville. Under a new head coach who looked to transform the Vols, they did just that because Hooker could pick up on it quickly and efficiently.

Hooker’s playmaking ability is impressive to watch, and he is durable. A tough kid who plays in a system that runs a speedy offense, Hooker shows off his high football IQ and ability to compensate on the fly.

Despite not getting much love in the early preseason quarterback rankings, Hooker was a force in 2021 and will continue to be in 2022.

Last season, Hooker went 206-of-303 for 2,945 yards, 31 touchdowns and three interceptions. He completed 67.9% of his passes and averaged 9.75 yards an attempt.

Hooker was No. 2 in the SEC in that yards per attempt and had the fewest interceptions among the 14 teams. He led the league in quarterback rating at 182.02.

Seattle would love to have Hooker because the kid gets it and understands football at the level it takes to be successful in the NFL.

The Seahawks need someone like him who can connect with the receivers and get them the ball, but he also understands when to tuck it and run.

Pete Carrol should turn on his notification for this quarterback because if he has another season as he did in 2021, the Seahawks could get a major steal in the 2023 NFL Draft.
