Aaron Judge rumors: Los Angeles Angels

Considering Judge is from California, it is hard to envision any of the teams in state making a run for the star outfielder. That includes the Los Angeles Angels.

The Angels have a superstar of their own in the outfield in Mike Trout, who signed a massive $430 million contract with the organization. Not only that, but they have another star of their own in Shohei Ohtani, who can pitch and slug home runs. Bringing in Judge could help the trajectory of the team.

When it comes to the Angels, they have not had the success in the fall as of late. They have not won a postseason game since Game 5 of the 2009 ALCS against the New York Yankees. Los Angeles last made the playoffs in 2014, but were swept in the Division Series by the Kansas City Royals. That’s right, Trout does not have a single postseason victory.

The Angels could be tempted to make a run at Judge in order to help the team actually make the postseason.

Aaron Judge rumors: Los Angeles Dodgers

As mentioned in the Giants section, the Los Angeles Dodgers are never afraid to use their resources to bring in superstars to put their team over the edge.

In 2020, Los Angeles successfully acquired Mookie Betts from the Boston Red Sox. Last year, the team traded top prospects to the Washington Nationals to bring in Max Scherzer and Trea Turner. This offseason, the Dodgers managed to pry Freddie Freeman away from the Atlanta Braves by signing him to a six-year, $162 million contract.

This is a team that is devoted to ensuring they have the best roster in the National League so they can contend for the World Series. They have made it to the NLCS in the past two seasons.

When it comes to a big name free agent, you can never count out the Dodgers in making a serious, competitive run for them. If Judge hits the open market, it would not be surprising to see the Dodgers are in the hunt.
