Pick Analysis. TE. Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ). 814. Scouting Report. Duce Robinson. 2. player

If Georgia wants to be known as Tight End U, then it must land Duce Robinson

As long as Todd Hartley remains on Smart’s staff, the Dawgs will have better tight ends than just about anyone. With sophomore sensation Brock Bowers poised to bring the Mackey home to Athens, look for Hartley to recruit the best player at the position in the country for 2023 hard in Duce Robinson out of Phoenix. This five-star is likely either heading to USC or possibly to Georgia.

Let’s be real. Had Lincoln Riley been in Los Angeles for a few years, no doubt about it, Robinson would be going to USC. Robinson’s hometown is in the same metropolitan area of one of USC’s biggest division rivals. His family would get to watch him much easier out on the West Coast than across the country in Athens. Then again, Georgia has quickly emerged as Tight End U for the SEC.

From Bowers to Oscar Delp to Arik Gilbert to Darnell Washington, Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken can 14 personnel SEC defenses to death if he flexes out Bowers and Gilbert in the wildest formation you will ever see. Admittedly, Georgia may lose ground in recruiting West Coast players with USC’s ascension, but the Dawgs would be foolish to run away from any competition.

How West Coast Dawgs like Bowers and Washington (Las Vegas) perform could sway Robinson.
