2. Bryce Young repeats as Heisman, Will Anderson wins all key defensive awards

It will not be easy, but Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young will go Archie Griffin on all of us and repeat as the Heisman Trophy winner. Yes, he will be pushed by Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, as well as his own teammate, Will Anderson. Although he will not win the Heisman, Anderson will clean up during awards season and take home every major defensive award as a Heisman finalist.

These sensational seasons by Alabama’s two best players will result in Anderson being a top-three pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and Young being one of a handful of quarterbacks who are slated to go top-10. Not only will these two stars shine in the biggest moments, but they will put enough good film out there for college scouts of NFL teams to salivate and select them early next spring.

There will not be a better tandem in all of college football next season than Anderson and Young.

1. Alabama defeats the Ohio State Buckeyes to win the College Football Playoff

It will be the usual suspects in the College Football Playoff this fall. Alabama will surely be there, as will presumptive Big Ten champion Ohio State. Whether Georgia joins Alabama out of the SEC remains to be seen, as with the other big programs like Clemson, Notre Dame, Oklahoma or whoever rounding out the final four. What one should expect is it to be Alabama vs. Ohio State.

These are two elite programs that are more than capable of getting to the national title bout, regardless of where they are seeded. Both schools have won national championships as the No. 4 seed in the College Football Playoff era. Despite Ryan Day’s team’s best efforts, the Alabama speed will once again be too much for the Buckeyes, as Alabama beats them twice in three years.

This could all go to hell in a hand basket, but picking anyone other than Alabama to win it is foolish.
