2. Blake Wesley

Teams armed with late-lottery selections who want to add juice to their offensive schemes should be taking a long look at Wesley. The former Notre Dame star already has a lot of wiggle with the ball in his hands which makes him a potentially great pick-and-roll operator at the next level.

The question with Wesley is all about just how much he can develop his jumper. If he turns it into an elite weapon then he’ll be impossible to guard. That may not be the most likely outcome for the 6-foot-4 guard but it’s within the realm of possibility.

A more modest developmental track would see Wesley become a starting point guard for a good team who possesses a respectable 3-point jumper that must be honored. That would give him enough ability to attack defenders off the dribble and really wreak havoc for his team.

Wesley needs to be drafted by a team committed to player development if he’s going to beat the odds and become an All-Star. He might be more system dependent than the other guys on this list but he’s got an uncanny quality to make plays off the bounce. Prospects with that quality always have All-Star upside at the next level.
