2. Micah Parsons, LB — Defensive Player of the Year

If you paid even a little attention to the NFL last season, you probably know who Micah Parsons is. The Cowboys’ stud is entering his second year and already belongs on the short list of the best linebackers in the league. Whether he lined up at middle or outside linebacker, or even defensive end, Parsons had to be accounted for any time he was on the field.

Some even pegged Parsons as last year’s Defensive Player of the Year as a rookie. If it weren’t for T.J. Watt’s record-tying season, he likely would have had a legitimate shot. This year, however, Parsons has a good chance of improving on his impressive first year and terrorizing defenses wherever he is on the field, making him one of the early candidates for the award.
