Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena gifted a young St. Louis Cardinals fan with an autographed bat.

MLB games are where memories are made for young fans. Like earlier in the year when a New York Yankees fan was gifted with an Aaron Judge home run ball by a Toronto Blue Jays fan. There was another awesome moment to take place between player and fan, and it involves Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena.

During Tampa Bay’s game on June 8, Arozarena gave a signed baseball bat to a young St. Louis Cardinals fan named Alex in attendance at Tropicana Field in between innings. Bally Sports Florida sideline reporter Tricia Whitaker revealed that the fan had given the Rays outfielder a baseball earlier. Arozarena kept the baseball and returned with gifts for Alex.

Also included with the baseball bat was a note written to Alex, with Arozarena writing that he “loved the baseball so much” that he wanted to bring him his own personalized bat complete with an autograph.

The Rays got the best of the Cardinals in the game, as they picked up the 11-3 victory. Arozarena had a good performance against the team that traded him in 2020. The outfielder was responsible for four of Tampa’s scored runs, as he went 3-for-5 at the plate.

Arozarena appreciated the act of kindness by Alex, and decided to provide him with a memory that he will never forget.
