Early Big 12 win total predictions: Are Oklahoma, Texas being slept on?

Big 12 win total predictions: Who should view 2022 as New Year’s Six or bust?
These three teams should view anything short of playing in the conference title bout or getting to a New Year’s Six bowl as a complete failure of a season. They should be ranked squads throughout. If all goes according to plan, one of them is playing in the College Football Playoff.
Baylor may not repeat, but Dave Aranda’s Bears are about to be a wagon, baby!
Let’s be fair. It is going to be awfully hard for Dave Aranda to top what he just did in year two at Baylor. The Bears not only won the Big 12 title bout in the most dramatic fashion possible, but they went on to win 12 games, including a Sugar Bowl victory over Ole Miss. While a 12-win season is still possible, Baylor will have its difficulties with the Oklahoma schools this season.
Over 8.0 wins: 10-2 (7-2)
Oklahoma State is a serious playoff threat, even with a loss in Bedlam Series
It sounds absurd, but the Bedlam Series is all about crazy. Though it may be hard to top what happened in Stillwater a year ago, it will be the biggest college football game of Thanksgiving Weekend. This is because the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Oklahoma Sooners will be undefeated. The Pokes might win this one, but having it in Norman gives the Sooners the edge.
Over 8.5 wins: 11-1 (8-1)
Brent Venables will have the best season of any first-time head coach this fall
After a down two years for the Sooners, Brent Venables will come in and do extraordinary things back at OU. Again, saying the Sooners will go a perfect 12-0 is a bit much, but getting rivals Baylor and Oklahoma State at home will really help them out. After beating the Pokes in Bedlam, a College Football Playoff berth, maybe two, could be on the line in Arlington in an immediate match.
Over 9.5 wins: 12-0 (9-0)
Overall, upwards of three teams will be in the mix for the New Year’s Six and the College Football Playoff. Anywhere between six and eight teams will go bowling. And while Kansas will once again bring up the rear, the Jayhawks will be markedly better than a season ago. Thus, the Big 12 has the chance to be the most competitive conference in the Power Five. Fans of college football win.
Consider these win total predictions as gospel and you can totally wager your life savings on them.
