Early SEC win total predictions: Can Alabama, Georgia be perfect?

SEC win total predictions: Who is going bowling, but not to the New Year’s Six?
A bowl game is so happening for these five teams, but getting closer to nine or 10 wins and earning a seat at the holiday season table known as the New Year’s Six is probably not happening.
The offense will be too inconsistent under Spencer Rattler for Shane Beamer
After tasting sweet, delicious mayo bath, Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks will need to build on a breakthrough first season in Columbia. The only problem is too much will be put on newcomer quarterback Spencer Rattler’s plate. He will struggle with the SEC speed. South Carolina will drop a few games it could not afford. They do beat Tennessee to go bowling, though.
Push 6.0 wins: 6-6 (3-5)
Billy Napier will make this thing work, but this is a year of major growing pains
Florida will not be down for long because Billy Napier’s got this. The Gators have a brutal start to the season by getting Utah and Kentucky back-to-back. Drawing Texas A&M in SEC West rotation is horrible. While they are not ready to compete with teams like Georgia yet, Napier’s team will beat the ones it should, including ending Mike Norvell’s career in Tallahassee to clinch a bowl bid.
Under 7.0 wins: 6-6 (3-5)
Overlooking South Carolina will be most regrettable for the on-the-rise Vols
Tennessee is certainly trending in the right direction under Josh Heupel. A win over rebuilding Florida should continue to restore confidence within the program. While beating rivals Alabama and Georgia is a bit too much at this point, they can be a top-25 team this season. The problem is dropping a bad one at South Carolina prevents them from approaching a double-digit win season.
Under 8.5 wins: 8-4 (4-4)
The 2022 Ole Miss Rebels will be equivalent to the 2021 Texas A&M Aggies
Eventually, Lane Kiffin is going to beat Nick Saban. Alabama has had its troubles in Oxford recently and Ole Miss tends to play up when the Rebels face the Crimson Tide. Jaxson Dart will have his best game in Ole Miss uniform. Kiffin will give a press conference for the ages. Then, of course, Ole Miss will drop the Egg Bowl, which will knock the down and keep them out of the New Year’s Six.
Push 8.0 wins: 8-4 (4-4)
Sam Pittman is on his way towards there being a statue of him in Fayetteville
Look for more of the same out of the Hogs this year. Sam Pittman is here to stay, as Arkansas will push for New Year’s Six bowls in the coming seasons. However, a tough road loss to BYU will certainly complicate things. The Razorbacks may only have two conference losses (vs. Texas A&M at Jerryworld, vs. Alabama), but the defeat to BYU will keep the Hogs out of the New Year’s Six.
Over 7.0 wins: 9-3 (6-2)
Let’s look at the teams who must get to a New Year’s Six bowl or it will be a disappointing season.
