3. Cleveland Guardians @ Minnesota Twins, June 21-23

Playing in one of the weaker divisions in the game, it’s not much of a surprise that the AL Central features three teams under .500 and the second-place Guardians being just two games above .500.

As things currently sit, the Twins have a three-game lead over the Guardians and while they have scored 18 more runs than Cleveland, they have also allowed nearly 30 more runs than the second-place Guardians. This three-game series between the two could potentially result in the Guardians tying Minnesota for the division lead.

The Twins lineup features baseball’s peskiest slap hitter in Luis Arraez as well as Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton, who seems to finally be healthy and has looked excellent so far this year. The team’s pitching staff is so-so, and they only have Dylan Bundy, Devin Smeltzer and Chris Archer currently penciled in to start future games so the rotation also comes with quite a bit of uncertainty.

For the Guardians, they have one of the best players in the game in José Ramírez in the middle of their lineup alongside speedster Myles Straw and a much-improved Andrés Giménez. Their rotation has Shane Bieber and Triston McKenzie, both of whom could potentially make the All-Star Game this season on the backs of their strong starts to the season.
