2. Tommy Fleetwood (+6000)

There are only six players this year who finished inside the Top 15 at both The Masters and the PGA Championship. To the shock of some, Tommy Fleetwood is one of those six golfers.

After the return from the pandemic pause, Fleetwood appeared a bit lost and nothing like the player who we often backed but always came up short of a win. Over the past few months, though, we’ve started to see his game return.

It started with the return of his short game to its usually high level but he’s also started to see his approach play and accurate driver catch up as well more recently. Fleetwood was T15 at last year’s US Open but Brookline may suit his game even better. With him rounding into form, he’s simply a veteran that I can’t stop peeking at when it comes to sleepers.

1. Davis Riley (+8100)

People have probably heard my banging of the drum for Davis Riley from miles around over the past month or two and it’s not going to stop until he gives me a reason for that to be the case. The youngster has been lighting it up as of late as he’s long displayed an impressive short game since joining the PGA Tour but has started to find consistency with his driver and iron play. In fact, he’s third in this field over the last 20 rounds in Strokes Gained: Total, showing how good he’s been.

That’s also why he’s not finished worse than T13 in any of his last six starts, including finishing on that number at the PGA Championship. I have Riley down as one of my best bets for ending up inside the Top 20 this week. At the same time, though, I believe that his game is in such good form that it’s only a matter of time before he wins. The Country Club will demand everything from a winner and Riley has been showing the complete game needed to contend.
