MLB rumors: White Sox could trade for Martin Perez.

If there’s any team that needs a boost it’s the Chicago White Sox. Chicago is below .500 and has even fallen behind the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Central standings. Tony La Russa’s club is three games back of the Boston Red Sox in the Wild Card.

After having cut ties with Dallas Keuchel, the White Sox are in need of solid left-handed presence in the starting rotation. Michael Kopech has been a star this season, but Lucas Giolito hasn’t been as crisp as he normally is and it’s doubtful the White Sox can rely on a 36-year-old Johnny Cueto throughout the entire season.

Martin Perez is only under contract through the end of this season, and with the current roster the Chicago White Sox have, this club has to go all-in at the MLB trade deadline. Perez should be on their shortlist.
