The Packers secured quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a lucrative contract extension, but the wide receiver room took a hit this offseason. Davante Adams is now the Raiders, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. With these losses, the team did make some additions to the depth chart, including Sammy Watkins in free agency, and Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs in the draft.

Green Bay does have a veteran presence on the team in Randall Cobb, who caught passes from Rodgers for years. Yet, he could be pushed to the bench in favor of Amari Rodgers.

The Packers selected Rodgers in the third round of the 2021 draft out of Clemson. He was the lone wide receiver the team selected in that class. Through his four years at Clemson, Rodgers recorded181 receptions for 2,144 yards and 15 touchdowns.

In his rookie season, Rodgers started in just one game out of 16, where he was primarily used as a punt and kick returner. He did catch four passes for 45 yards on eight targets.

Rodgers has a shot to get an increased role in the passing attack, considering the departures they had in the offseason. While Cobb does have a rapport with Aaron Rodgers, he is far from the prime of his career. If Amari Rodgers can impress in training camp, it would not be totally shocking if he were to win the starting spot out of the slot.
