The Brooklyn Nets can totally be a combustible mess for one more trying season

Even if Irving could technically leave Brooklyn this summer, the Nets are the favorite to retain his services. That is quite a bit of money he would be potentially sacrificing should he opt out. He may go to a better situation for him should he test NBA free agency, but there are no guarantees a prospective new team will win more games, or pay him as much money as Brooklyn will have to.

It may be toxic as all get-up in Brooklyn, but a trio of Durant, Irving and Simmons has the potential to win multiple playoff series in the Eastern Conference. Perhaps they can channel their inner Guns ‘N Roses or Jane’s Addiction and put something special out there for their fans before it hits the fan, time and time again? This is not a great option, but staying put is not a horrible one either.

Unless the betting line moves considerably, the Nets will be the favorite to retain Irving’s services.

Reuniting with LeBron James on the Los Angeles Lakers is so flipping Hollywood

Kyrie goes to Hollywood?! Relax, don’t do it. But when you want to go to it, Irving may not be able to contain himself. Yes, he would have to play second fiddle to LeBron James again, but he will assert his dominance over Anthony Davis to form quite the trio for this new-look Los Angeles Lakers outfit. Russell Westbrook may totally hate this, but self-awareness does not grow on trees.

In all seriousness, adding Irving to the mix rarely works out for anyone, but it just might work for the Lakers. Huzzah! Although Los Angeles may make a GOB Bluth huge mistake by bringing Irving into the fold, when has that ever stopped them before? We have seen Irving and James win a championship together. A big three of Davis, Irving and James is not the worst idea ever conceived.

The Lakers are running out of options and are running out of time, so damn the torpedoes, baby!
