4. Andrew Wiggins — May 22, 2022

It’s Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks. The Warriors have a 2-0 series lead and are up by 8 in the fourth quarter, looking to take a significant 3-0 lead at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Draymond Green sets a screen for Steph Curry on Reggie Bullock, and Steph dribbles past Jalen Brunson, bringing in three Mavs defenders to try to help. Steph kicks the ball out to Andrew Wiggins on the right wing. It’s time to get Wiggy with it.

Wiggins drives left, leaving slow-to-closeout Bullock in his dust and Luka Doncic as the only thing standing between him and the rim. Wiggins does not fear The Don, no sir he does not. Wiggins takes off from the dotted line off two feet, going up and around and right through Doncic, knocking Luka down with his off hand and slinging home the fully-cranked jam that leaves Luka in a heap.

The initial call is a charge, but dunks like this should never be called a charge. Steve Kerr challenges the call, and it is successfully overturned. (Now if only the NBA can go back and rescind the wrongfully called charges on Jamal Murray in March 2020 and Anthony Edwards back in Nov. 2021.)

Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller had quite a time with this one, shouting “OHHHHH!” in gleeful unison.

Harlan lets out his classic, “Drops the sledgehammer!”

Both are incredulous at the charge call and wholeheartedly agree: That’s an And-1 all day.

Reggie: “Oh, that’s a poster, I’m sorry!”
