Convince other free agents to come back on minimum deals

The Warriors have additional free agents who should be welcomed back next season, but that’ll be on the players to allow it to happen.

Someone like Otto Porter Jr. could get attention from other teams as an unrestricted free agent. He averaged 8.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 22.2 minutes per game this past season. His role isn’t likely to get too much bigger, and if he can get more money elsewhere, Golden State isn’t likely to match it.

That’s why some of the recruiting this offseason will be internal: getting players to buy in on the team and its championship ability. The door could be open to bring Porter Jr. back on a minimum deal in that case.

The same may go for Damion Lee and Nemanja Bjelica, who are also unrestricted free agents.
