5 free agency destinations for Aaron Judge: New York Mets

This scenario should scare Yankees fans straight.

Imagine if billionaire owner Steve Cohen decides to flex his financial muscle to bring Aaron Judge crosstown to Queens? I can imagine that and then some.

Cohen displayed his willingness to go all-in by signing Max Scherzer, Starling Marte, Mark Canha and Eduardo Escobar before the 2022 season, and he won’t be satisfied until his Mets win it all. And stealing the Yankees’ thunder by poaching their star player? Nothing might make Cohen happier.

The Mets aren’t starving for offense by any means, but adding Aaron Judge to a team that already has Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso in the lineup, along with (when healthy) an elite rotation headlined by Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer? The Amazin’s would easily become the talk of the town in 2023, if not the talk of all of baseball to bring home a championship.
