Deebo Samuel trade rumors: 3 teams that still need to kick tires on WR

The Baltimore Ravens could use more explosiveness in their receiving game
While the Baltimore Ravens could bounce back and be one of the better teams in the AFC next season, they continue to leave a lot to be desired in the passing game. It may be by design to best accentuate the skill set of former NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, but the wide receiver room is banking on players like Rashod Bateman, Devin Duvernay and Tylan Wallace to be solid.
By trading away Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore is in dire need of a No. 1 wide receiver it can pair with Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews. The Ravens may have drafted Bateman out of Minnesota in the first round two years ago to become that, but Baltimore needs to take advantage of two of their division rivals potentially hitting down cycles. They should add Samuel.
Though he may be used in a similar manner in Greg Roman’s scheme with Baltimore as he was reluctantly in San Francisco, the Ravens will find ways to get the ball into Samuel’s hands. In theory, Baltimore can be the AFC equivalent of the 49ers if they play up to their standards with great defense and explosive playmaking on offense. The Ravens do play in the other conference.
Jackson is a transcendent talent, but him not being signed beyond this season is a major red flag.
