Catcher Alex Jackson (Milwaukee Brewers)

Catcher Alex Jackson has had more time to prove that he has been a bust on the prospect front than Pache.

Jackson was drafted with the sixth overall pick by the Seattle Mariners all the way back in 2014. He was as high as the #28 overall prospect on MLB.com’s list entering the 2015 season but the Mariners traded him in the 2016-2017 offseason to the Braves.

He did make it to the majors with the Braves in parts of three seasons (2019 through 2021) but only played in 19 games with a -19 OPS+ (119 percent below league average) before he was traded to the Miami Marlins in a one-for-one deal for Adam Duvall.

Jackson played in 42 games with Miami in 2021 with an OPS+ of 46 before they traded him to Milwaukee on Opening Day 2022.

With Milwaukee, Jackson has only played in five games in the majors, hitting .250/.250/.250 with an OPS+ of 42. In 23 games at the Triple-A level for Milwaukee, Jackson has hit .231/.319/.423 in 23 games. Currently, he has been on the MLB injured list for about a month with a sprained finger.
