Adonai Mitchell showed a ton of promise as a first-year player at wide receiver

With George Pickens having turned pro and Jermaine Burton having turned heel to go be a front-runner with Alabama, there are receptions to be had in the Georgia receiving corps. While Ladd McConkey is an emerging star in the slot and Kearis Jackson is back for another year, look for Adonai Mitchell to build off a strong freshman season, one where he made big plays in big spots.

The great news for Mitchell is he already seems to have a strong rapport with starting quarterback Stetson Bennett IV. Barring something unforeseen, Bennett will be the Georgia starter for one last season before he hands the baton off to somebody else. In the meantime, he has plenty of touchdowns to throw. One player who may be on the receiving end of many has to be Mitchell.

Georgia does not have an elite vertical passing game, but having a player like Mitchell who can really stretch the field opens things up for the rest of the offense to operate. Together, Bennett and Mitchell can do wonders for their NFL Draft stocks. A great sixth season could get Bennett drafted. If Mitchell can build off last season, he could become a top-100 pick like Pickens was.

No player in the Georgia wide receiver room is more poised to break out this season than Mitchell.
