Here is the updated WWE SummerSlam match card following the July 8 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

WWE SummerSlam is just around the corner, as Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. hosts the event on Saturday, July 30. There were already three matches confirmed prior to July 8, including another match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. But now, the card has grown with two more matches added after the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

SmackDown Women’s champion Liv Morgan had an interview in the ring with Michael Cole, where they discussed how she defeated Ronda Rousey for the title at the Money in the Bank premium live event. Natalya then interrupted but was confronted by Rousey. During the in-ring segment, Rousey told Morgan that it is easier to challenge for the championship than defend it. Rousey then defeated Natalya in a match shortly afterward

WWE’s official Twitter account confirmed that Morgan would be defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Rousey at SummerSlam.

Prior to SmackDown, it was announced that the Undisputed WWE Tag Team champions, the Uso’s (Jimmy and Jey Uso), were defending against the Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) at SummerSlam. At Money in the Bank, the two teams had an incredible match, with the Uso’s picking up the win. However, it was revealed that the referee had missed Montez Ford’s shoulder being up and counted to three anyway, giving the Uso’s the victory.

After the Uso’s defeated Los Lotharios (Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo) on SmackDown, they were interviewed by Kayla Braxton, who revealed that there is a rumor that there might be a special guest referee for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match at SummerSlam. That is something to keep an eye on in the lead-up to the big event.

Here is what the full match card for WWE SummerSlam 2022 looks like.
