Yency Almonte could be on the move again

The 28-year-old reliever will be under team control until his free agency begins in 2026. After being drafted by the Los Angeles Angels, he played for the Colorado Rockies for a few seasons before becoming a Dodger this season.

He has one save in 21.2 innings pitched over 19 games. He has four holds and one blown save. With 22 strikeouts, he has a 31.3% called and swinging-strike rate.

Almonte’s putaway pitch is his slider which averages 84 mph with a 33.9-inch vertical drop and 38% active spin.

A nice late innings option, Almonte would be an interesting trade chip for a team looking for a young arm with some crafty pitches that have induced 47% ground ball outs this season and about 45% over his five-season career.
