10. Blake Griffin, 2009 Los Angeles Clippers

Blake Giffin only played five career Summer League games, but it wasn’t until the preseason that he broke his kneecap and had to sit out for his entire rookie year. Over the summer of 2009, Griffin put up 19 points per game, 10.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. That’s actually fairly in line with his career NBA statistics, and he is a six-time All-Star so having those numbers at any point in a career is nothing to sneeze at.

Aside from his solid stat line, Griffin was tasked with handling the ball on a depleted Clippers summer squad, and he played quite well on the defensive side of the ball, showcasing some two-way talent. Griffin was admittedly prone to turning the ball over, but as the first option on the team, it makes sense that he would make a few mistakes. Nevertheless, he was named MVP of the 2009 Summer League and is ranked as the tenth best summer player ever.
