Houston Texans: QB Davis Mills

There was a time when the Houston Texans were winning six division titles in a nine-year span. But the organization has come undone in more ways than one. And the decision to part ways with quarterback Deshaun Watson after he sat out all of 2020 continues to be a major news story for various reasons.

A year ago, rookie quarterback Davis Mills made a solid showing of himself despite a lot of adversity. He played in 13 games and made 11 starts. He hit on 66.8 percent of his throws, connected for 16 scores and turned overall the ball only 11 times despite being sacked on 31 occasions. The team added Kyle Allen and Kevin Hogan in free agency. But with a season under his belt, Mills may bear watching.

Indianapolis Colts: WR Parris Campbell

He’s been overdue for a breakout season but injuries have really deterred his progress to date. Former Ohio State standout Parris Campbell was the 59th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. In three seasons, he’s caught a not-so-grand total of 34 passes and ironically, missed 34 regular-season contests.

But the Colts have a new-look wide receiving corps as veteran T.Y. Hilton was not re-signed and Zach Pascal inked a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. General manager Chris Ballard selected Alec Pierce (Cincinnati) in the second round of April’s draft. If he can stay on the field, Campbell could benefit greatly playing opposite Michael Pittman.
