Predictions for 1 first-time Pro Bowler on all 32 NFL teams
Detroit Lions: Penei Sewell, OT
The Detroit Lions franchise has been mired in a lot of losing for years now, and even with a new head coach at the helm this past season in Dan Campbell, their fortunes did not change. However, there were some bright spots to the 2021 Detroit Lions team, including their rookie, left tackle, Penei Sewell.
Sewell was the No. 7 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and as a rookie, he started 16 games and provided excellent protection for Jared Goff. A PFWA All-Rookie Team selection, Sewell has everything you look for in a franchise left tackle and will be a part of the long-term solution in Detroit.
Green Bay Packers: Rashan Gary, DE
A first-round pick of the Green Bay Packers back in 2019, Rashan Gary had a slow go of it his first two seasons in the NFL. Gary would start only four games across the 2019 and 2020 seasons, before breaking out in a big way in Year 3 in 2021.
For the season, Gary racked up 9.5 sacks, started 16 games, and became an anchor for this Packers defensive line. He is a kid who was once considered one of the best high school prospects in the country, and it appears he is finally ready to be a real menace at the NFL level.
