Braves: 3 Tigers trade chips worth pursuing at the deadline

Victor Reyes, OF
There is one glaring need on the Braves roster, and that is in the outfield. Recently, the team found out that outfielder Adam Duvall, who they re-acquired at last year’s deadline, is done for the season after undergoing surgery on his left wrist.
Jim Bowden of The Athletic noted in his recent article that left field is a position of need at the deadline, and they have Kansas City Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi “tops their target list.” The thing is, much like Castillo, Benintendi is going to be the No. 1 outfielder available at the deadline, and there is going to be competition for him. What if the Braves are unable to get Benintendi?
How about outfielder Victor Reyes?
Reyes would be a much cheaper option for Atlanta as compared to what it would cost to acquire Benintendi. This season, the switch-hitter is slashing .276/.302/.358 while recording one home run, 11 RBI, and 34 hits in 40 games.
The Braves should look at all options for an outfielder. Reyes could be a good fallback option if top names come off the board.
