2) Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello

The Red Sox have had a lot of starting pitchers on the injured list so if they think they are contenders, they will have to address their starting rotation. One pitcher that has recently been plugged into the starting rotation is Brayan Bello.

He started the season at Double-A and he pitched well there (1.86 ERA in six starts) so he was promoted to Triple-A. He pitched well there (2.82 ERA in 10 games) but the 23-year-old has struggled mightily since he has been called up.

In three starts in the majors, Bello has an ERA of 10.50. In just 12 innings, he has allowed 22 hits, 14 runs, and eight walks.

He might be a good starting pitcher in the future but for the Red Sox right now, they can’t have that in their starting rotation.
