2. Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch will steal the show

At SummerSlam 2021, Becky Lynch made her return to the ring for the first time since after WrestleMania 36 the year prior. Lynch challenged Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship after Sasha Banks was pulled at the last minute. In perhaps the most shocking moments in WWE that year, Lynch defeated Belair in just 27-seconds.

Then began the long chase for Belair to get a one-on-one opportunity to take Lynch’s championship. That finally happened at Night 1 of WrestleMania 38 this year, as the two battled for the Raw Women’s Championship. WrestleMania was filled with plenty of memorable moments, but it was without a doubt that Lynch and Belair had the best match of the event and potentially of the entire year. Belair was able to pick up the victory after hitting her K.O.D. finishing move on Lynch to win the title.

Lynch has since gone into a bit of a downward spiral, losing to Belair at Hell in a Cell for the Raw Women’s Championship in a triple threat match that also included Asuka. Then, Lynch went on to lose the Women’s Money in the Bank match after getting kicked off the ladder by the winner, Liv Morgan.

Now, Lynch finally has her one-on-one rematch with Belair. Given what we saw when the two met in the ring at WrestleMania this year, this match at SummerSlam will be worth the price of admission alone.
