Brock Lesnar is facing Roman Reigns in a Last Man Standing match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam. But will this be the last time he appears for the company?

WWE SummerSlam 2022 was in a bit of a bind after Roman Reigns’ reported opponent for the event, Randy Orton, was unable to compete due to a back injury. So, WWE went back to the well again and scheduled Reigns to take on his rival, Brock Lesnar. This time, it would be in a Last Man Standing match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

In the week before the premium live event, the main event seemingly appeared to be in question. After former Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon announced he was retiring, Lesnar reportedly left the TD Garden in Boston, Mass., the site of their weekly Friday night program, SmackDown. Yet, he returned in the final minutes of the show, beating up Theory.

With the match still on, some fans may be wondering if this will be the final time they will see Lesnar in a WWE ring.

Will Brock Lesnar quit WWE after SummerSlam?

As of this writing, there has been zero indication that this would be Lesnar’s final WWE appearance.

When the McMahon announcement was made, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported that Lesnar had left the building, with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful noting that the WWE and MMA star was “pissed off.” Alvarez continued, saying that Lesnar said something in the line of “if he’s gone, I’m gone.”

Obviously, WWE was able to get Lesnar to return to appear at the end of the July 22 episode of SmackDown, and his SummerSlam match with Reigns was still on. What is interesting is that Lesnar vs. Reigns is being advertised as the final time that these two rivals will compete against one another.

Again, we will not know what Lesnar’s status will be until after SummerSlam has concluded. We will keep you posted if there are any updates.
