Former Seahawks and Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested in Las Vegas on Tuesday and charged with DUI.

Known as “Beast Mode” on the football field, former Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas running back Marshawn Lynch was a headache for defenders.

On Tuesday, however, the longtime NFL star and Super Bowl champion was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with DUI. TMZ and Yahoo Sports reported that Lynch was pulled over and did not submit to a breathalyzer test and was ultimately taken to jail by LVPD.

The unfortunate part is that this is not the first time Lynch has been involved in a vehicle incident. In 2008, Lynch had his license revoked after a hit-and-run incident while playing with Buffalo Bills. A DUI arrest in 2012 combined with a 2014 reckless driving incident also adds to the list.

Lynch, who has been out of the NFL since 2019, has rushed for over 10,000 yards in his career and has a Super Bowl ring to his name with the Seahawks after the 2013 season. He could have had another, but a Butler had something to say about it on the goalline.

Since leaving the NFL, Lynch has been involved in multiple organizations, including being a minority owner of the NHL’s Seattle Kraken. Additionally, Lynch was being considered for Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football broadcast team.

Unfortunately for Lynch, these plans may be changed after what has transpired. What happens now remains to be seen as LVPD will provide more detail on what’s to come following this incident and what the repercussions are.
