1. The Braves should be playing in the Field of Dreams Game.

Obviously the history of the game should carry some weight when discussing which teams should be playing in the Field of Dreams Game. The Atlanta Braves, along with Chicago Cubs, are the National League’s last two remaining charter franchises.

The Braves were originally called the Boston Red Stockings (not Red Sox) and have undergone several name changes and relocations over the years. The team called Boston home until 1953 when they relocated to Milwaukee. After a little over 10 years, the Braves moved to their current home in Atlanta.

The Atlanta Braves won the World Series in 2021 and are chasing down the National League East Division-leading New York Mets at the moment. Atlanta’s roster is filled with stars like Austin Riley, Matt Olson, and of course, Ronald Acuña Jr.

The Braves, having been on TBS for all those years, were at one time referred to as America’s team. The Braves fan base stretches far and wide and would certainly offer better entertainment value than the rebuilding Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs.
