3 Browns who earned a roster spot in preseason Week 1

Browns players who earned a roster spot: Jerome Ford
Want to earn an NFL roster spot? Prove it.
That’s exactly what Jerome Ford did in the Browns first preseason game, as he led the team in rushing and receiving yards. Assuming that continues, it’d be tough to leave him off the roster. Ford has already impressed in training camp. Seeing that practice ability translate to game action is huge for him.
Here’s what Dawg Pound Daily, FanSided’s Browns site, had to say about Ford’s performance:
"“Jerome Ford had the best game of anyone on the team against Jacksonville, leading the Browns in both rushing and receiving yards. He also scored a touchdown on the ground and through the air. Ford would get more chances on most other rosters but he could be in line to be the No. 2 guy behind Chubb in 2023.”"
Regardless if it’s 2022 or 2023, Cleveland will not make Ford available to other teams for this coming season. That would defeat the purpose of making him a fifth-round draft pick in the first place.
