1. Just beat the Mets and make them forever regret setting foot in The Battery

You want to win the NL East? It’s pretty simple. Just beat the New York Mets. Just beat them. Beat them senselessly. We all know that you hate them, which is why The Battery will be absolutely electrifying for the final seven games between these two bitter divisional foes. New York may have embarrassed the Braves in Queens last week, but Atlanta has since won six straight games.

We do not need to poke fun at soft contact, we just need you to beat the Mets. No doubt about it, this arch rival in division has finally arrived. They are no longer owned by a collection of complete buffoons. Steve Cohen is going to spend and spend and spend and spend. Whatever it takes to win a World Series championship, that is what the inspiration for the TV show Billions is all about now.

So after not taking care of business by dropping four of five in Queens, the Braves have no choice but to play their best brand of baseball Monday through Thursday. If they do not, then Atlanta has no hope of winning the NL East for the fifth year in a row. In seasons past, you could bank on the Mets spontaneously combusting, but that is no longer the case. Just beat the freaking Mets, man.

The players in the clubhouse know how important this series is, so go get the thing done, boys.
