2. S Jabrill Peppers

Usually, a player on a one-year deal gets cut quite often, but in the case of Peppers, it’s a different story. Peppers was supposed to be a help for the secondary, but the lack of action thus far, even in the preseason, bears questioning as to what New England will do.

While Devin McCourty and Kyle Dugger look like locks and Adrian Phillips will most likely join them, the rest of the room looks up for grabs, and so far, Peppers has not done much to show the coaches that he needs to stick around. But maybe the team is just keeping him fresh for the long run?

It’s not to say that this prediction turns out to be wrong, and it very well could. But, with no action, it seems like this would be a surprise cut, and it really would. Here’s hoping that the lack of action is just a precautionary move, not one that leaves Jabrill Peppers back on the market looking for a new team.
