Yessir! KJ Jefferson is moving on up to the best side of the SEC’s western division
One team many people are very high on in the SEC would have to be the Arkansas Razorbacks. Some view the Hogs as the second-best team in the SEC West to only Alabama. While Sam Pittman is the absolutely perfect head coach for them, it starts and ends with what dual-threat playmaker KJ Jefferson does for them at the quarterback position. He is a special player, alright.
Last year was his first as the Arkansas starter. Although the Hogs were only a mid-level SEC team a season ago, keep in mind that they couldn’t win a single conference game under Pittman’s predecessor in Fire Marshal Chad Morris. Jefferson has the talent to help steal a game or two for Arkansas, making them a sneaky-good dark horse candidate to win 10 games and get to the NY6.
The best way for Arkansas to make some noise in the deep SEC is to lean on its star quarterback.
Cameron “Black Smoke” Rising hits harder than the four boys from Frankenmuth
With long flowing hair and a surname that would suggest ascension, Cameron Rising is about to be the next great Pac-12 quarterback. Regardless of if he digs retro rock like the four boys from Frankenmuth do, “Black Smoke” needs to stick as his nickname, just like the Utes in the top 10. If he plays like he did in the second half of last year, Utah could make the College Football Playoff.
Utah may be at a talent disadvantage when compared to many of the other top-10 teams in the country. However, we all know that Kyle Whittingham will get the most out of his star quarterback. The best part in all this is we all saw firsthand Rising and the Utes go toe-to-toe with the high-octane Ohio State offense in one of the most exciting Rose Bowls in recent bowl season memory.
Whether he is more of a Highway guy or a Safari guy, we can all see the Black Smoke Rising in SLC.
