All-time Buffalo Bills moments to be a fan for

Bills greatest moments No. 3: Bills 1964 AFL Title
Prior to joining the NFL in 1970, the Bills competed in the AFL, where they won two championships (1964, 1965). The 1964 championship, over the San Diego Chargers, is the most well-remembered. The Bills faced the San Diego Chargers.
The Chargers took an early 7-0 lead, as tight end Dave Kocourek had a 27-yard touchdown reception.
Bills linebacker Mike Stratton landed a huge hit on Chargers running back Keith Lincoln, which became known as the “hit heard ’round the world”. The hit knocked Lincoln out of the game, and it swung the momentum in favor of Buffalo.
“It was brutal,” former Bills linebacker Paul Maguire said via Erik Brady of The Buffalo News, “just a perfect tackle.”
The Bills would go on to win their first AFL championship 20-7. As a team, the Bills rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Cookie Gilchrist led the way with 122 rushing yards.
The “hit heard ’round the world” remains one of the most iconic plays in Bills’ history.
