Tight End: Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers ($4,200)

The Muth is Looth! Pat Freiermuth is entering this season as the unquestioned TE1 for Pittsburgh, and he’ll surely play a big role in the team’s passing attack this season. Going at $4,200, Freiermuth is a solid value for a tight end that can crack the top-10 this week in fantasy scoring among the position.

The tilt versus Cincinnati will be highly competitive, meaning there will be a lot of passing. Fire the Mooth up as a solid tight end play with a high floor and potential for a touchdown or two.

Flex: Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans ($6,300)

Brandin Cooks has steadily been one of the most consistent fantasy scorers over the past few years. This is especially impressive given the quarterbacks he’s had to play with. He set career highs in receptions last year with 90, and he had a full offseason with second-year quarterback Davis Mills to build upon that success.

Cooks will again have a high floor this season, and it’ll start this week against the Colts, who the Texans will have to throw a lot to compete with. Cooks has top-15 upside, which is great at our flex.

D/ST: Jacksonville Jaguars ($2,500)

Adding first-round pick Travon Walker and last year’s leading tackler Foye Oluokun to this defense should increase its speed and athleticism. In picking the Jags, we’re betting on the newcomers, as well as the Jags’ overall feisty-minded defense to spoil Wentz’ debut as a Commander.
