2. Week 1 Fantasy Football WR sleepers: A.J. Green, Arizona Cardinals

Rostered: 11.7%

A.J. Green’s rostered percentage is surprisingly low, given he had 848 receiving yards in 2021.

With DeAndre Hopkins serving a six-game suspension, Green will have a boost in fantasy leagues in the short term.

Furthermore, Rondale Moore injured his hamstring in Thursday’s practice, and he is set to undergo an MRI.

Green and Marquise Brown are positioned to be the top two wide receivers in Arizona’s offense, which was eighth in the NFL in receiving yards last season.

Green is an appealing option in most leagues this week.

1. Week 1 Fantasy Football WR sleepers: Sammy Watkins, Green Bay Packers

Rostered: 5.7%

As I previously mentioned, the Packers’ wide receivers have a great fantasy matchup this weekend against the Vikings. The Vikings allowed the most receiving yards in the NFL last season.

With Allen Lazard listed as questionable, Watkins could be Aaron Rodgers’ top target on Sunday. Watkins believes that he is up to the task, and Aaron Rodgers thinks so, too.

“I’ve never been this sharp,” Watkins said per ESPN’s Rob Demovsky. “Just to be this sharp, it feels good to go out there and play freely and play fast.”

Even if Lazard plays, Watkins still has plenty of fantasy appeal as the number two receiver in Green Bay’s offense.
