4. Week 1 Fantasy Football RB sleepers: Rashaad Penny, Seattle Seahawks

If you won your fantasy championship last season, there was a decent shot you had Rashaad Penny on your team. His unconscious run of 671 yards over the last five games of the season made him the best free agent pickup of 2021.

Penny has a chance to resume workhorse duties, at least for this week while rookie running back Kenneth Walker’s status doesn’t look good for Week 1. The only thing going against him is a negative game script in a potential blowout. Other than that, he has no opposition in a workhorse role this week.

3. Week 1 Fantasy Football RB sleepers: Tony Pollard, Dallas Cowboys

No matter how much Jerry Jones loves Ezekiel Elliot, it’s clear to anyone watching the Cowboys that Tony Pollard is now the superior player. He’s put together somewhat of a standalone fantasy value, but barring an Elliot injury, Pollard is still a backup… for now.

I’m predicting something along the lines of a 50-50 split between these running backs, especially after Cowboys’ Head Coach Mike McCarthy called the two a ‘tandem.’ I like Pollard’s upside this week especially, as Dallas will have to put up points to beat Tampa Bay. Pollard is a solid option this week and may not be a sleeper for too long.
