2. Week 1 Fantasy Football RB sleepers: Rhamondre Stevenson, New England Patriots

If there’s one running back who has a solid chance of coming out of the gates and taking someone’s job ahead of him this week, it’s Rhamondre Stevenson. Hype has been bubbling all offseason about him working in the passing game, and impeding on Damien Harris’s early-down work.

Stevenson is going to get plenty of run with the Patriots, and he’s very affordable in DFS. If he can fend off Ty Montgomery for passing down work, Stevenson will surprise a lot of people this week when he is the best running back on the team.

1. Week 1 Fantasy Football RB sleepers: Dameon Pierce, Houston Texans

It’s officially ‘Dameon Pierce SZN.’ Pierce outright beat out every runner on the Texans, even forcing them to cut Marlon Mack, the presumed starter. Pierce impressed coaches all offseason, and it only continued in the preseason. He’s in line to be a clear-cut starting running back as a rookie.

The only thing standing between him and true bellcow usage is Rex Burkhead, who is expected to see passing down work. However, the ceiling for Burkhead at this point in his career just doesn’t seem that high. The Texans may opt to play Pierce on all downs, and if that happens, he has top-10 upside every week.
