1. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 2 – Baltimore Ravens WR Devin Duvernay

The offseason trade of Marquise Brown to Arizona opened a gaping hole on the top of the wide receiver depth chart in Baltimore. The fact that the Ravens didn’t make a big addition in free agency or the draft to their receiver room left it up in the air as to which young receiver would soak up Brown’s targets this season.

The early answer appears to be Devin Duvernay, who was Baltimore’s most effective receiver against the New York Jets. Duvernay was targeted four times by Lamar Jackson and caught all four of them for 54 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

While Rashod Bateman will be a factor in the passing game as well, particularly as a potential home-run hitter, Duvernay is the better value for players in PPR leagues. Getting two touchdowns a week out of Duvernay isn’t realistic but if he sees his target volume increase from four to roughly seven going forward there is a solid floor here as a flex option.

Duvernay is rostered in just 30 percent of Yahoo leagues but he should be a key component of Baltimore’s passing attack all year long. The Ravens will likely look to attack the seams against the Miami Dolphins in Week 2, making Duvernay a worthy pickup who should merit flex consideration as soon as next week.
