10 RB sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 2
Fantasy football running back sleepers for Week 2: Michael Carter, New York Jets
This may be the last week that Michael Carter is considered a sleeper. He was clear-cut number one over rookie Breece Hall last week, out-touching him 17-12 and out-gaining him 100-61. I understand that a timeshare on the New York Jets doesn’t necessarily sound exciting for fantasy purposes, but Carter looked good in Week 1.
Regardless of the split, the Jets will have to rely on their run game early and often for as long as Joe Flacco is the starter. Cater is a solid flex play this week in all formats.
Fantasy football running back sleepers for Week 2: James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars
James Robinson just continues to produce. He seemed to extinguish any Travis Etienne RB1 flames last week, as it’s clear that Robinson is an integral part of this offense. He rushed 11 times for 66 yards and a touchdown, and added a receiving touchdown as well.
Etienne may be the preferred passing down back, but Robinson is uber talented and it’s going to be hard to justify taking him off the field at any given moment. Fire him up as a mid-range RB2 this week.
